Sherry Schrut – Modernist Abstract Oil on Board – P2959
Fabulously jazzy mid-century modern art piece.Measures 10 1/4″ x 12 1/2″. (Frame is not included.)
Los Angeles artist Sherry Schrut was one of the prolific contributors to 20th century American Modernism. Being a painter, printmaker, enamel and ceramic artist – as well as a versatile designer – kept her work in demand by such notables as Evelyn and Jerome Ackerman – the power couple of mid-century design.
Schrut’s art ranges from representational to non-objective, from identifiable objects and beach-scenes to imaginary fauna and flora.
