Sherry Schrut – Abstract, Grays, Purples, Orange – Oil on Board P2960
A terrific example of mid-century modernism, all cool jazz. Measures 24″ x 30″. Frame not included.
Los Angeles artist Sherry Schrut was one of the prolific contributors to 20th century American Modernism. Being a painter, printmaker, enamel and ceramic artist – as well as a versatile designer – kept her work in demand by such notables as Evelyn and Jerome Ackerman – the power couple of mid-century design.
Schrut’s art ranges from representational to non-objective, from identifiable objects and beach-scenes to imaginary fauna and flora.
