Sherry Schrut Mid-Century Blue and Red Abstract Oil on Board 1960 P2941
A glorious and gorgeous blue and red abstract, in fact, and it measures 24″ x 30″. We feel very fortunate to have had some of her work come our way. (31″ x 37″ frame is not included: shown for reference only.)
Los Angeles artist Sherry Schrut was one of the prolific contributors of 20th century american-modernism. Being a painter, printmaker, enamel and ceramic artist – as well as a versatile designer – kept her work in demand by such notables as Evelyn and Jerome Ackerman – the power couple of mid-century design.
Schrut’s art ranges from representational to non-objective, from identifiable objects and beach-scenes to imaginary fauna and flora.
