Sherry Schrut – Modernist Copper Enamel Plaque A2712
A wonderful mid-century modern piece. Measures 9″ x 9″. A jewel to hang on a wall.
Los Angeles artist Sherry Schrut was one of the prolific contributors of 20th century American Modernism. Being a painter, printmaker, enamel and ceramic artist – as well as a versatile designer – kept her work in demand by such notables as Evelyn and Jerome Ackerman – the power couple of mid-century design.
Schrut’s art ranges from representational to non-objective, from identifiable objects and beach-scenes to imaginary fauna and flora.
